America is the name of a whole continent. United States of America means that the United States belongs to America and NOT that America belongs to the United States. So, next time you want to refer to The United States of America, you can do it as U.S. or the States or whatever you want but not as only America. Gotcha?
Here we will show you some wrong and correct uses of the term America:
Please, note that this page in not about demonyms (gentilics) but about the way to call a country.

Let the world know that USA should not be called America! America is one whole continent.

In English there are several countries that have two demonyms, such as Denmark, Danish and Dane, also Argentina, Argentinian and Argentine (this second should be used only for things but many use it for people anyway). In Spanish we also have two demonyms for Brazil, "brasilero" and "brasileño".
For this reason I think that we should promote with American friends that we have, a second and alternative demonym in English, "Usamerican".
"Often, education in the US tends to be technocratic and anti-intelectual. United Statian students are not typically prepared, that is, prepared to accept the responsibility of becoming global citizens..."

Since ‘United Statian’ is so rarely used, after a few more weeks you will have quoted all existing examples. Thanks for your important work.
I have seen examples for months here here
So have I. And it’s still extremely rare. Your desires and fantasies cannot and will not change that.
So you accept you were wrong. Good to read.
Your ability to type “United Statian” into Google is most impressive. Bravo.
Google, Duckduckgo, Bing, Yahoo, it is everywhere!!! :D
You’re the clever one. I can tell.
I continue loving US literature
and from a prestigious university. Thank you

David, if you agree that the continent's name is America, why do you call it The Americas? How did it go from being America to being The Americas?
You tell me. Use your excellent research skills that you are always demonstrating. Make sure to include links to reputable sources. While you are at it, include a full analysis of the origin of ‘las Américas’ in Spanish. Don’t forget the links. Thanks.
Remember Mrs. Anonymous, a source has reputation when it is transmitted in United Statian media. Note that US media can also be published from non-US countries, as there are US news agents sitting everywhere for shaping.
Hey David, did you read reputable news?
https://bit.ly/32sdY52
Why disguising? too much fear or is it normal for the US to steal from others?
David, I have already told you my opinion on it. But I want to hear what you find or you have on it since you seem to accept that America is a continent but you seem to call it "The Americas"
David x 4
The word "panamericano/a" in Spanish is an excess of translation, because in Spanish we already have the word "americano/a" for that meaning, instead in English they need it to mean "from anywhere in the Americas (América)", the word "panamericano/a" "in Spanish should not exist.
Please provide a link to the universal rule of human language that says synonyms are outlawed. Thanks.
http://etimologias.dechile.net/?panamericano
Panamericana is a word in spanish and it means all of America. The one example is the road the Panamerican Highway in ENglish and La Carretera Panamericana in Spanish. Also do you remember the airline PANAM? That was short for Panamerican or all of America it flew all over the American continent
Pan-America, Panamericano, Panamericana, or in English Panamerican. Not Panamericas, Panamericasno, Panamericasna, Panamericasn. What does it mean? Prefix. Pan -, a prefix from the Greek πᾶν, pan , meaning "all", "of everything", or "involving all members" of a group. All of America = Pan America. And it doesn't mean the USA. The carretera Panamericana does not only go through the U.S.A. but throughout America the continent. Pan-Americana Pan-American doesn't relate to the USA only and as you can see it means Everything in America is American not the USA through.
Who is claiming anything different? Nobody.
Do you mean they are thieves or infamous war criminals?
I doubt he meant this. He is united statian baby, my friend from the south
It depends. I have written such thing numerous times. I wrote this 11 months ago.
I thought Fabian was

David since you think you are better than anyone else here, can you explain how the continent went from "America"(we had established before that this is the name given to the continent and accepted by the world) to "The Americas"?
Learn how to do your own research. Read books. Learn how to accurately comprehend the material. Learn how to draw valid conclusions from the material. Stop stating falsehoods. Stop denying obvious and readily verifiable facts that don’t support your fantasies, wishes, worldview, and prejudices.
But you are the best in that so are you trying to avoid the answer to poor me that can't get facts since they might not exists but you seem to have them all. Since you know how to do everything then you shouldn't have any problems answering this questions.
You are so pathetic.
But David all you do is avoid the question why?
Read a United Statian book!
You are so clever. Thanks for your helpful links to facts. Well done.
...an awareness of gender and power relations. Grabbing ***** and the non-too-subtle violence that pervades the locker room talk of a group of white/United Statian men in power is now open...

WOW!!!
So what?
I love US literature
Pan American = americano
South American = demonym for what in English is the continent of South America
North American = demonym for what in English is the continent of North America
American = citizen of the USA
American = estadounidense
America = "The United States of America" informally abbreviated
United States = "The United States of America" official abbreviated
I thought NOTHING is called America in English.
How old are you Fabian? if I can ask
